A Grammy category is created for album covers just as Sabrina Carpenters takes the spotlight

For the 2026 Grammys, the Recording Academy is introducing a stand-alone "Best Album Cover" category. Also, "Best Recording Package" category gets a revamp. Other changes include adding a "Best Traditional Country Album" category and allowing artists previously featured on "Album of the Year" nominees to qualify for "Best New Artist". Nominations will be announced on November 7th.
