A programme to try to get people off meth and away from crime has been launched in Porirua as part of a multi-million dollar government drive. Ellen O'Dwyer reports. Audio
In "The Tell-Tale Heart," an unnamed narrator insists on their sanity while recounting a murder they committed. Driven to kill by an old man's "vulture eye," the narrator meticulously plans and executes the crime. After dismembering the body and concealing it under the floorboards, the police arrive. The narrator, initially calm, is driven to confess by the escalating sound of what they believe is the victim's beating heart.
