Auckland Trains Up And Running After Winter Upgrade
Auckland's rail services resumed after a partial closure during school holidays. KiwiRail completed upgrades and renewals preparing the network for the City Rail Link (CRL) opening in 2026. Work included foundation rebuilds and drainage improvements at stations like Homai, Te Mahia, and Takanini. Further upgrades are planned, including work on the Henderson Station and new Drury stations.
