Cambodia Is 2nd Asian Country To Rollout Long-Acting Injectable HIV Prevention Option
Cambodia is the second Asian country after Thailand to roll out long-acting injectable HIV prevention (PrEP). This follows WHO guidelines from 2022. Studies show it is a safe and effective option, with a 79% risk reduction compared to oral PrEP. The first doses were given to a female sex worker and a transgender person.
