The Commerce Commission will file proceedings against Foodstuffs North Island and Gilmours for alleged cartel conduct and Grocery Industry Competition Act breaches. They allegedly pressured a supplier to reroute business through them, obstructing direct sales to a hospitality customer. The Commission believes this behavior is anti-competitive and violates the Grocery Supply Code, harming consumers and fair competition.
