Dawn service held 40 years on from Rainbow Warrior bombing

The Rainbow Warrior arrived in Auckland to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its bombing by French agents in 1985, which killed Fernando Pereira. A dawn ceremony was held, attended by Margaret Mills, a cook on the ship at the time, and journalist David Robie, who recalled the "shocking night". Greenpeace continues its environmental campaigns, inspired by the ship's legacy of opposing nuclear testing.
