Flash flooding in New Mexico resort town leaves dozens trapped

Heavy monsoon rains caused flash flooding in Ruidoso, New Mexico, trapping people and sweeping away a house. Emergency teams rescued 85 people from homes and vehicles. The Rio Ruidoso rose significantly. Authorities searched debris for survivors, complicated by wildfire damage that had removed much of the vegetation in the area.
