Pedestrian dies, another seriously injured in Canterbury crash
In Leeston, Canterbury, a vehicle struck two pedestrians near Leeston, Lakes, and Harts Roads around 8 PM. One pedestrian died at the scene. The other sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the incident, and the road was temporarily closed for examination. Inquiries are ongoing.
