QLDC’s Shotover Consent Applications Going Direct To Environment Court – ORC
The Otago Regional Council (ORC) approved Queenstown Lakes District Council's (QLDC) request to send two resource consent applications for the Shotover Wastewater Treatment Plant directly to the Environment Court. The ORC will publicly notify the applications after receiving outstanding information from QLDC, due August 11. QLDC cited time and cost savings and significant public interest as reasons for the direct referral.
