South Auckland grocery store loses right to sell alcohol

McLennan Grocery Store in South Auckland lost its alcohol license after an appeal. The Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority (ARLA) determined it didn't meet the legal definition of a grocery store. ARLA cited limited food product range and the presence of a vape store, categorizing it as a convenience store, which isn't allowed to sell alcohol.
